Huntington, 25701 > Westmoreland location (304-429-2170): 3609 Hughes St., Huntington 25704 RECREATION: Sports (organized and informal), field trips (swimming, golfing, MU sporting events, etc.), arts and crafts, lending library (children's books), choir, gym, ping pong, fooz ball, pool table. EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES: > Tutoring: Power Hour Program (Homework assistance & Tutoring 3:30-6 p.m, M-F staffed by professional teachers), > Conflict resolution program "Second Step" > Vocational activities, substance abuse prevention > Guitar lessons (group), available weekly > Computer skills program tied to WV Educational Standards MEALS, FREE: For children members who are eligible for school lunch program, ages 6-18 yrs. Winter: 3 pm dinner for members and a snack at 5 pm, one-day visitor passes available. Summer: breakfast, lunch and snack. TRANSPORTATION: Transportation can be provided to and from the Guyandotte and 14th St. locations when necessary. (pick them up at their school and take them home from the centers) OTHER: > WCCSO provides senior services at the Westmoreland location when children are in school. |
