| Description: | METHOD OF APPLICATION: Referrals by self, family, physician, and discharge planners to the Admissions coordinator. Pre-Admission Review Committee assesses all referrals for the level of disability, medical stability, rehabilitaion potential, and intensity of rehabilitation needed. Pre-admission evaluations may be done at referral site, free of charge. Decision for admission in 24 hours or at time of evaluation. ACUTE CARE INPATIENT/OUTPATIENT REHABILITATION SERVICES: Comprehensive medical and vocational rehabilitation, training, & research in: > Spinal cord injury > Brain injury > Stroke > Neurological disorders > Arthritis > Amputation > Multiple trauma > Chronic pain > Discharge planning LOCATION FOR ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION VOLUNTEER OFFICE (733-0884): > Arthritis Self-Help Program: fee charged for textbook > Warm Water Aquatics (therapy) when pool maintenance allows: two or three times/wk. for six weeks, fee charged. EDUCATION: "Brainwork's" (304-733-1060 or 800-860-6005): An educational program for persons having suffered from strokes or head injuries. SPEAKERS BUREAU: Providers speakers to the community, covering many topics. |
