Eligibility: For persons with mental retardation/developmental disabilities with an emphasis on autism in Cabell, Mason, Lincoln, Wayne Counties.
Description: Non-profit Behavioral Health Agency.

SERVICES TO PARENTS/PROFESSIONALS:
Consultation, training, advocacy, for parents, teachers, schools, and state agencies regarding autism.

SERVICES TO CLIENTS:
> Coordination of services
> Day programs which provide job training and independent living skills
> Supportive employment in paid or volunteer positions. Provides job training, placement and job coach when necessary.
> Independent living skills training.
> Community Support Program: Provides in-home services for many Title XIX Medicaid Waiver clients, including the service coordination (case management) and direct care services. (Carries out Residential Habilitation, Respite and Day Habilitation Plans.)
> Service coordination available to all clients
> Provides payee services

RESIDENTIAL CARE:
Group homes and supervised apartments. Teaches basic living skills and integration into the community.

FINANCIAL AID:
> FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM (Go through Autism Services 525-8014) or statewide 304-558-8997)
Eligibility: WV families with a household member, who has a developmental disability, MRDD or autism. Families must not have insurance and must have been turned down by other funding sources. Funding is not based on family income.
Services: Assists families meet their basic needs and maintain their quality of life through respite care, home modification, adaptive equipment, transportation, service coordination, emergency aid. Funding source of last resort. (Funded by the WV Family Support Council, which is listed separately.)
