| Description: | SOCIAL WORK - 304-526-2090: Discharge planning, counseling for inpatients and employees, referrals to other services. HOME HEALTH CARE - 304-526-2075: Skilled nursing care in home for persons needing medical assistance but not hospitalization. Accept Medicare, Medicaid, insurance. Includes (speech, physical, occupational, & home I.V. therapy. Also provides social services, nutrition counseling, and aide service. DEPT. OF PASTORAL CARE & COUNSELING - 304-526-2049: Hours: M-F 8 am-4:30 pm Address: 1616 Thirteenth Ave., Huntington - physical location of counselors Mailing Address: use the Hospital address Cost: Most private insurance accepted. Cannot accept Medicaid or Medicare. Where appropriate, fees can be negotiated and reduced. No one refused for financial reasons. Services: In-patient pastoral care available upon request. Out-patient LPC counseling or pastoral counseling available by appointment only. Works with people of all beliefs with religion discussed only upon request. Certified Substance Abuse and Addiction Counselor on staff. Individual, marriage and family counseling available HOSPICE UNIT - 304-526-2320: Medicare-approved care for terminally ill provided in the hospital. Provision for respite care. BREAST HEALTH CENTER/ WOMEN'S HEALTH CENTER (304-526-2270 & 800-419-6636): Location: 1415 Hal Greer Blvd. Huntington, WV > Provides free membership to the Women's Health Center which provides free dermascans, osteoporosis heel scans, osteoporosis information and referrals for counseling. Membership entitles members to eat in the cafeteria at employee discount rate while a family member is hospitalized. > Provides massage therapy, mammograms and diagnostic screening for breast cancer for a fee. > Provide lecture series for a small fee. > Speakers bureau. > Free breast screenings (304-526-2440) for WV women lacking insurance for breast screenings DIALYSIS CENTER: J. Robert Pritchard Dialysis Center EDWARDS COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CENTER (304-399-6500): http://edwardsccc.org SERVICES: Provides adults and children integrated cancer treatment and conducts National Cancer Institute sponsored clinical trials. Specialized services include: Breast Cancer Center, Gynecologic Oncology, Medical Oncology, Pediatric Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology. Offers state-of-the-art technology. Formed through a partnership of Cabell Huntington Hospital and the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION CLASSES (304-526-2229): Five-week series. Parents-to-be learn about the childbirth process, Lamaze techniques, comfort measures, hospital procedures, etc. Fee charged. INFANT-CARE EDUCATION & SIBLING EDUCATION 304-526-2229: Free infant-care classes for parents-to-be and siblings. PARENTING, BREAST-FEEDING, CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION - 304-526-2236: > Parenting classes for parents of non-infant children. > Childbirth classes. > Breast-feeding classes. Held 4th Wednesday of each month (except Dec.) 6-8 p.m.in the Private Dining Room #3. Lead by a board-certified lactation consultant. INFANT CPR CLASS (304-526-2229) INFANT CAR SEATS: For persons who deliver in the hospital who are unable to purchase a car seat. Screening done by CHH Social Work.
