Homework Help Center

BoyWe provide free homework help for students in grades K-12. The center is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-6. Dedicated staff and friendly volunteers will be available to aid students with their homework. This includes any homework subject. The center will also have on-site school supplies, computers, printers, and library resources available. The Homework Help Center does not operate during the Cabell County school’s summer recess.

The center is operated by dedicated library staff and friendly volunteers from various community organizations. Some of which include: AmeriCorps, Marshall University Students, Cabell County Public Library Friends of the Library, retired teachers, etc.

The Homework Help Center is located on the fourth floor in the Youth Services Department at the Main Library.

Language Services

Please call 304-528-5700 if your child needs help with a foreign language. We will attempt to meet all language requests.


Are you interested in volunteering in our Homework Help Center? If so, please stop by the Main Library and fill out an application, or call 304-528-5000 for more information.


Donate school supplies to our Homework Help Center! We want every student visitor to have the school supplies needed to complete their homework. In turn, we house a variety of school supplies in our center. We receive the supplies from generous donations from various individuals and organizations in our community. Please call 304-528-5700 to inquire about donating to our Homework Help Center. The center is always in need of: paper, pencils, pens, poster board, calculators, markers, crayons, color pencils, folders, etc.


Students visiting the Homework Help Center are expected to follow the Library Code of Conduct.
